Kumar Raj Gandharva  is  a divine presence in the world of Indian Classical and Devotional Music. Kumar ji is recognized as one of India's most outstanding classical Bhajan singers. Acclaimed for his powerful and expressive voice, he has made a meteoric rise to the top of North Indian classical performing arts over the past decade.

Kumar ji was initiated into the music world by his father, Master Brij Mohan when he was 13 years old. Later he studied with famous ghazal singer Shri Jagjit singh ZIRVI, and Pandit Sudhir Kaushal.

His brilliant performances have won him several Awards including,the "Kumar Gandharava" Award and "Bhajan Samrat" Award . Recently, Kumar Raj Gandharva ji was crowned as Sufi Maestro, by the International Association of Sufism. Kumar ji has also been honored as one of the most influential peoples in the society by the U.S government officials, for his extraordinary service to the Indian community. Kumar Raj Gandharva has released over 20 albums in the genres of Devotional, spiritual, sufi, bhajans, semi classical and classical music. And he has sung in more than six different languages.

Kumar Raj Gandharva's album "Bhajan Swar'' which was released in 2011, was one of the most sold and loved albums throughout the world and it has broken all the records in the genre of Devotional music, and was announced as highest selling album in United states and Europe in that genre.

Apart from all the work that Kumar ji has been doing such as making new music albums, performing in concerts at every weekend, giving music and background scores to movies,  he is immensely involved in the process of teaching and spreading his profound knowledge to those who are interested in learning about Indian traditional classical and devotional music. Kumar ji deals with each of his student on a personal level as he monitors their musical growth. Kumar Raj Gandharva is a beloved disciple of his spiritual Guru "Pujya Dr. Vishwamittar ji Maharaj".
